I hope they call me on a mission

Recently, my in laws were asked to serve as the Guatemala MTC president and Relief Society president (that will be my mother-in-law's calling, interesting, huh?). 

As you can imagine, it is a frequent topic of conversation amongst the family, and one week during Primary, my sweet 5-year-old nephew raised his hand a little bit out of the blue during the middle of Sharing Time (about pioneers), and proudly said, "Umm... My grandma and grandpa are going on a mission to Guat-a-mama."

Out of the mouth of babes, out of the mouth of babes. 

Can I get a hallelujah?

Matt and I were taking care of some business at the local branch of our bank the other day. We had come from having lunch with Matt's firm and so were dressed in business casual attire.

We sat across the banker's desk and waited while she was doing some things for us. She seemed like she had something she wanted to say or ask, but was hesitating. After a few minutes, she somewhat sheepishly said to Matt "I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but are you a pastor?"  Followed by a quickly blurted, "It's not a bad thing! You just look like you would be a pastor..."

We tried not to laugh, and Matt told her that while he wasn't a pastor, he had served two years on a mission and considered himself a religious man. The conversation pretty much just moved on to bank business from that point on, but it definitely made for a memorable trip.
